The Quirks of Job Hunting

I've been interested in finding a job for a while now. There's this site that I really want to set up, but for it to be successful, I need a lot of money to start it up. Anyways, I've been searching online for a bit and most job postings are really... quirky.

The first thing that caught my attention is the sheer number of companies or restaurants looking for managers. When you think about the regular worker to manager ratio, shouldn't there be more postings looking for manual labor workers?? I have to skip so many of the job postings simply because I have no experience (but I learn fast. Too bad people still won't accept me) to be a manager, and even if I did, who would like having a 15 year old kid bossing people around?

And that's another thing. There are a couple jobs that ask if I can legally work in America. That makes me hesitate a little bit. I'm not an illegal immigrant or anything, and in America, as long as you have a worker's permit or you are of age, you can legally work.

But the thing is, to get a worker's permit, you need to have a Letter of Intent to Hire from an employer. So unless I get the job, I can't get the worker's permit. And until I get the worker's permit, I can't (technically) legally work. So if I checked 'No', I don't get the job or worker's permit. But if I check 'Yes', that's basically lying...

Can you guys see the problems I face trying to find a job?? I'd go find a job in Chinatown if I had to, but my Chinese is pretty broken up, so I might not even get accepted there!
