Party Animals

Two nights ago, I was at my friend's birthday party, and man, can Mexicans throw parties. I don't know if it's representative of the general Chinese population, but Asian parties I go to usually have something like food, video games, and more food. I got nothing against food, but Asian parties could be more exciting.

My friend Bianca (the Mexican) had a Moon Bounce and snow cone machine rented for her party! Ok, so I'm not 7 anymore, but hey, things like that never get old. Moon bounces should be a requirement for any party... What do Asians have? A Nintendo Wii or some other game system. But now that gaming and technology are a staple in society, it's nice to be outside jumping around. Good old fashioned fun!

It was also Bianca's fifteenth birthday, and in Mexican culture, that's a special one. I don't know if it was tradition or not, but instead of cutting the cake, she was made to bite it first. After some hesitation, she finally leaned over to bite it, and her good friend pushed her face right into it!

Oh man, I wish that us Asians have parties like that. Maybe we do, and I just don't know it. Or maybe we just don't like spending a little bit extra for better memories...
